Chara Kotsali 是居住在雅典的舞蹈創作者、表演者和教師，畢業於 Rallou Manou 專業舞蹈學校，現於該校和 Marmarinou 舞蹈學校教授當代舞蹈。她擁有戲劇研究和社會文化人類學的學位，並接受過音樂訓練。

Chara Kotsali is a dance maker, performer, and teacher based in Athens. A graduate of Rallou Manou Professional Dance School, she now teaches contemporary dance there and at Marmarinou Dance School. She also holds degrees in Theater Studies and Social & Cultural Anthropology and has trained in music.
Her choreographic practice blends anthropology, documentary art, and music, focusing on the politics of sound and movement. Her solo "to be possessed" premiered at Onassis Dance Days (2023) and has toured Europe, earning selection for Aerowaves Twenty24 and the ImPulsTanz [8:tension] Young Choreographers’ Series, receiving an honorary mention. In 2024, she presented "Borborygmi" at the Athens & Epidaurus Festival 2024. She is a supported choreographer of Onassis Stegi (2023-2024) through the Grand Luxe Network.
Kotsali has co-choreographed "manoeuvre _" and "You will find me if you want me in the gardens" and led the research projects "The Right to Unpeacefully Assemble" and "KISKA". She has worked as a movement director in major theater productions and received the 2023 Greek Critics Association award for Best Theatre Choreography.

《to be possessed》是一場獨舞與聲音表演，展示了一異質的個人自創資料庫中「被附身」女性的物質和聽覺面向。舞者兼編舞家 Chara Kotsali 同時研習戲劇、人類學和音樂，她希望通過擴展的視角來解讀附身的狀態。她召喚那些出沒在我們的語言、經文、知識、心靈以及俗世本身的亡靈。
通過一場支離破碎的舞臺儀式，這位表演者和編舞家進行了一次試驗性的附身，試圖將她所遇到的每一個紀錄片實例帶入生命，並呼喚它們揭示其震撼和顛覆的本質。
正如她自己所指出的，「被附身者的代代傳承，告訴我們絕對孤獨並不可能發生，並揭示了話語和寫作、行為和良知、非物質和物質世界都被過去的聲音和尚未誕生的聲音所縈繞。」

“to be possessed” is a solo physical and sound performance that showcases material and aural aspects of a heteronomous DIY archive of “possessed” women. A dancer and choreographer who has also studied theater, anthropology, and music, Chara Kotsali wishes to read the state of possession through an expanded gaze. She summons spirits that haunt our language, our scriptures, our knowledge, our minds, and the material world itself.
By means of a disarticulated staged ritual, the performer and choreographer engages in a trial possession, attempting to bring each of the documentary instances she encounters to life, and calling upon them to reveal their shattering and subversive nature.
As she herself notes, “the genealogy of possessed bodies tells us on the impossibility of absolute solitude and reveals that discourse and writing, deed and conscience, the immaterial and material world are haunted by voices that preceded and voices yet to be born.”
to be possessed premiered in March 2023 during Onassis Dance Days, and since then has been touring in Europe. It has been selected as one of the Aerowaves Twenty24 works, as well as part of the Impustanz Festival 8:tension young choreographers’ series 2023.
